The Dave Rivers Group are a quartet of twenty-something males who rock'n'roll with the requisite traditional equipment. The music is composed by former Gouge & Dognites member Dave Rivers. Dave has a devout following throughout Central Massachusetts acquired through his countless solo shows played in bar rooms and backyards. With tales about fallen loves, empty bottles, and $60 bar tabs, The Dave Rivers Group brings the arena-rock style back to the local scene.
The Group was formed in mid-2008 during the recording of the demo cd. Dave asked Producer Tim Broadbent to play guitar, which led to the formation of the band. Drummer Andy Caplan, a fan of Dave's "Friday Nights at The Diamond Inn" series, soon after auditioned for the band. With a dire need for a bass player, the band contacted studio drummer, and all around musician, Seth Adams to play bass guitar.
The band plays an original set list, with the lone exception of what the band likes to refer to as "The Nuge Jam" or Ted Nugents "Stranglehold" for those on the outside.
